As announced in September, and as reported on several specialized websites, Discovery has announced this Wednesday, December 2nd, that it will launch Discovery +, its new D2C OTT, in the US. As detailed, the SVOD OTT will be launched in the North American country on January 4th, and globally throughout 2021, including Latin American countries. Regarding the international expansion of the new platform, from Discovery they detailed that they plan to launch it in more than 25 markets throughout 2021. Apart from the United Kingdom and Ireland, where it is already available, countries such as India, the Nordic countries, Holland and Spain are also included.
