Xiaomi launches STB for streaming in Brazil

Cell phones global leader Xiaomi, fourth in smartphones importance, will launch in Brazil its STB for streaming Mi Box S. The device, compatible with Chromecast, plays videos in 4K, and its remote control has a button to access Netflix and allows to activate voice commands through Google Assistant.

Mi Box S was officially launched in October 2018. Xiaomi did not give much details on  the price of the STB in Brazil, although it is estimated to arrive in the country on June 1st, the same date on which the company will open its official store in theIbirapuera Shopping, in San Pablo. The device allows to broadcast cell contents and screen mirroring on TV. It is compatible with YouTube, HBO Now, ESPN and Spotify. During its launch it was not possible to have Amazon Prime Video available, but the company promised to modify it soon.

The device is equipped with an Amlogic S905X-H processor, Bluetooth 4.2, a USB 2.0 port, an HDMI 2.0 A and an audio output, and is compatible with USB adapters.
