WTA launches streaming service

The Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) has launched WTA TV, a new subscription service that will offer WTA matches streamed live and on-demand to subscribers around the world (except in China). The platform offers a monthly and annual subscription for USD 9.99 and USD 74.99 respectively.

According to the association, annual subscription to WTA TV provides access to nearly 2,000 live and on-demand matches from all WTA Premier tournaments and the majority of WTA International tournaments. The access includes HD streaming, multi-match viewing and multiple camera coverage for all main draw singles matches.

WTA TV has been developed in collaboration with WTA Media partner, the Perform Group and is available worldwide, the only exception being China. In China, WTA partner iQIYI holds exclusive streaming rights.

“Our goal is to provide fans the means to follow the tour and to watch WTA matches on the best screen available to them, wherever they are”, said WTA CEO, Steve Simon.
