Twitter’s live streams of basketball games in Argentina reached 700,000 unique users

Twitter announced that the live streams of the four final games of the National Basketball League in Argentina averaged 688,000 unique users each (equivalent to about seven rating points).

In addition, live coverage had a 79% young audience whose age was under 35 years. “The results obtained with the transmission of the end of ‘La Liga’ show how audiences are looking for content on new platforms that at the same time are complementary to traditional platforms. Twitter is a network for all sports and we are investing in key alliances for all audiences and sports, “said Pitter Rodríguez, Head of Sports Partnerships, Latam at Twitter.

The Basketball League Finals represented the first live streaming deal for Twitter with a partner in Argentina. In turn, the country was the third of America where this type of action was carried out in the social network, after the United States and Mexico.
