Twitter signs live streaming deal with Bloomberg

A few days after live streaming Wimbledon, Twitter has signed a deal with Bloomberg Media to broadcast some of its select programs on the social network, including “Bloomberg West”, “What’d You Miss?” and “With All Due Respect”.

Through the agreement, Twitter and Bloomberg will share revenue on ad packages sold alongside the videos, informed Recode.

“By partnering with Twitter, viewers from all over the world will now be able to leverage a powerful, real-time platform to consume and react to the news, accelerating our position as a leader in global business video, and offering new and innovative opportunities for our marketing partners”, said Bloomberg Media CEO Justin Smith.

In this way, Twitter continues its strategy of acquiring streaming right for all for all kinds of live content. On Monday, July 11, it announced a deal with CBS to stream both the Democratic and Republican National Conventions. The social media already has a deal with the NFL to broadcast  Thursday night’s matches.
