Twitter live-streamed its first match of Brazil’s basketball league

On November 10, Twitter started live streaming the NBB, Brazil’s most important national Basketball League. The first match offered was between França and Paulistano.

Games are available to logged-in and logged-out user. The deal between the social network and the NBB includes 17 games of 2017-2018 season. The matches are available all Fridays.

Twitter’s commitment to live sports began in 2016 when it acquired the rights to live stream NFL matches. Since then, the social network begun to add more and more transmissions. In Latin America, the strategy is the same, since it has already exhibited this year the final match of the Concacaf Champions League (the most important club tournament in North and Central America) and the finals of the National Basketball League of Argentina.
