Mexico’s TV Azteca presented its financial statement for the third quarter of 2017 in which it reported net sales of MX$ 3,459 million (USD 180.6 million), up 7% from previous year. The company reported a net loss of MX$ 307 million (USD 16 mllion), which represents a recovery of 84% compared to the previous year.
According to the report, TV Azteca reported EBITDA of MX$ 835 million (USD 43.6 million), 9% less than the figure reported in the same period in Q316, which was MX$ 917 million (USD 47.8 million).
Domestic advertising sales grew 6% to MX$ 2,912 million (USD 152 million), “as a result of the generation of vanguard formats that captivated millions of people in Mexico”.
In addition, TV Azteca registered sales from Azteca America ̶ the company’s wholly-owned broadcast television network focused on the U.S. Hispanic market ̶ of MX$ 413 million (USD 21.6 million). In turn, Revenue from TV Azteca Guatemala and TV Azteca Honduras was MX$ 13 million (USD 678,800).
Content sales to other countries were MX$ 27 million (USD 1.4 million) in the quarter, while Azteca Comunicaciones Perú reported revenue of MX$ 94 million (USD 4.9 million).
