Turner produces first Spanish-language version of “Bake Off”

Turner Latin America is producing in Argentina the first Spanish-language adaptation of the British cooking reality show “Bake Off”, which is aired under the name of “Bake Off Argentina, El Gran Pastelero” every Sunday at 22:30 on free-to-air channel Telefe (Viacom).
The show has 10 episodes of 75 minutes each and features 12 amateur bakers of all ages. “Bake Off” was originally released in the United Kingdom in 2010, becoming a worldwide phenomenon. It was created by Love Productions for the BBC and both the show and its format are distributed by BBC Studios.
“We are confident that we can give Bake Off the local flavor it needs to win over our audience in Argentina,” said Tomás Yankelevich, EVP & Chief Content Officer, General Entertainment of Turner Latin America. “At Turner we generate content for both our brands and third parties, and this positions us as a key original production powerhouses for Latin America,” he added.
