Mexican triple-play operator Totalplay (Grupo Salinas) has announced that its FTTH network is available to six million households across 20 cities.
The expansion plan was announced in February 2015. In less than 18 months and after a USD 400 million investment, the company tripled the coverage and reached 450,000 subscribers, informed the company in a press release.
“Our exponential growth forms part of our commitment to provide Mexicans with the best connectivity services and the latest technology”, said Eduardo Kuri, Totalplay General Director.
Totalplay is the only pay TV operator in the country offering 4K to its customers. The service has an additional cost of MXN $ 199 (USD 10.8) and includes access to Netflix through the STB. Totalplay began operating in the country in 2011.
