Pay TV channel TNT announced that the series “Hugo Chávez, El Comandante”, inspired by the life of the Venezuelan leader, will be released next January 31. It will also be available on the TV Everywhere platform TNTGO in live streaming and catch up.
This Sony Pictures Television’s production will run from Monday to Friday at 10pm. The role of Hugo Chávez is played by Colombian actor Andrés Parra, the same who became Pablo Escobar in the series “El patron del mal” (Pablo Escobar, The Drug Lord).
The series has 60 episodes of one hour each and was filmed with cinematographic quality in various Colombian locations such as Bogotá, Medellín and Cartagena.
“Hugo Chavez, El Comandante” will also be broadcast on TV channels Telefe (Viacom) in Argentina, RCN in Colombia, Telemundo in the U.S and on the Mexican OTT platform Blim (Televisa).
