TV Azteca’s new series “Entre correr y vivir”, currently in production, will be available on Blim, the OTT platform owned by Televisa, revealed the CEO of Estudio 7 at TV Azteca, Rodrigo Fernández.
In this way, both companies join forces to compete with OTT players, particularly with Netflix and Claro Video, the two main streaming services in the country.
Meanwhile, El Financiero newspaper informed that Televisa is planning to withdraw all its products currently available in Netflix to integrate them to Blim’s content offer, the OTT services launched early this year by the media giant.
Televisa and TV Azteca are two of the largest Spanish-language media companies. They both dominate the Free-to-air market in Mexico and have – especially Televisa – a strong presence in Mexico’s Pay TV industry.
