Telecom Argentina 1H18 revenues up 29.1%

Telecom Argentina announced that during the first semester of 2018, consolidated revenues increased by 29.1% compared to the same period last year to AR$ 64,179 million (USD 2,155 million), mainly driven by cable TV (Cablevisión), Internet and mobile services.
According to the group’s report, Telecom Argentina registered a net loss of AR$ 4,912 million (USD 165 million) in 1H18, while Ebitda reached AR$ 23,296 million (USD 782 million), up 36.6% from the first half of 2017.
Only in the second quarter, revenues were AR$ 33,481 (USD 1,124 million), while revenues of services reached AR$ 30,634 million (USD 1,029 million). Mobile services accounted for AR$ 11,453 (USD 384.5 million), Internet services reached AR$ 7,574 (USD 255 million), cable TV services AR$ 7,206 (USD 242 million), fixed telephony and data AR$ 4,327 million (USD 125 million) and other services AR$ 74 million (USD 2.5 million).
Mobile operator Personal reached 18.6 million customers in Argentina. Telecom also recorded 4.1 million broadband accesses and 3.5 million CATV subscribers (143,000 clients belong to the operation in Uruguay).
