The Mexican DTH StarTV announced the incorporation of HBO Go to its contents. The launch is StarTV’s first effort to incorporate OTT content to its catalog. The company also added the Claro Sports catalog to its content offering.
‘Subscribers with HBO Max on demand or with our Universo package can access HBO Go from June 2019, and, this way, enjoy content such as Chernobyl or Big Little Lies, both on the DTH platform through the HBO channel, and on HBO Go’, said Bruno Pruneda, CEO of StarTV.
The StarTV Universo package costs USD 26 and includes 96 channels, including HBO, HBO 2, HBO Family and Max. The HBO Max package has a monthly cost of USD 8, and also includes HBO channels in its offer. Both packages have access to HBO Go included. The DTH is available in more than 80% of the Mexican territory. At present, it records more than 200 thousand linear and internet clients.
Bruno Pruneda, CEO of StarTV, is one of the speakers confirmed in the next edition of the Nextv CEO Latin America event, which will take place next November 5th and 6th at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, Miami, organized by Dataxis.
