RTVE announced the launch of its channel Star HD in the triple play operator Telecable from Costa Rica. The distribution deal was signed by the companies during Expo Andina Link Centroamérica.
Gerardo Chacón Chaverri, General Manager of Telecable, said “the incorporation of the channel demonstrates Telecable’s commitment to maintain the satisfaction of new and current subscribers”. Andina Link Central Expo was held from 6 to 8 September in San Jose, Costa Rica.
Star HD is an entertainment channel aimed at family audiences. The programming lineup includes series that have well performed in Spain. It is the third international RTVE channel, along with TVE and 24 Hours.
With this new agreement, Star HD continues to expand its presence in the region. A few months ago, the channel closed agreements with VTR, the largest MSO of the Chilean market, and with Grupo TV Cable, main cable operator of Ecuador.
