Spotify launches animated series on YouTube

On Demand music streaming platform Spotify has launched the new animated series “Deconstructing”, produced by short-form video specialist ATTN. The series explores how music is shaped by political and social forces in culture.

The first episode was premiered on August 11. It offers an overview of the history of EDM (Electronic dance music). The video lasts just two minutes long, as it is designed for mobile users.

The website Engadget reported that Spotify is working on 12 original shows, including titles such as “Rush Hour”, a competition that challenges two hip-hop artists; “Landmark,” a documentary series with a complimentary long form podcast, and “Trading Playlists”, which encourages celebrities to exchange their personal mixtapes for a day.
