Subscription on-demand streaming service Pongalo, which distributes Spanish-language movies and TV shows for U.S. audiences, is now available on Amazon Channels for USD 3.99 a month.
Pongalo’s catalog includes original co-produced telenovelas with RCTV Productions such as “Piel Salvaje” and “Corazón Traicionado”. It also offers classic telenovelas from countries like Mexico, Venezuela and Colombia, including Kassandra”, “La Mujer de Judas” and “Juana la Virgen”.
“This relationship validates our work to build a robust Spanish-language content offering, as well as our continued commitment to U.S. Latinos, who make-up the fastest growing demographic in America,” Pongalo Chairman Rich Hull and CEO Jorge Granier said in a joint statement.
The Amazon announcement follow’s Pongalo’s introduction last year on Apple and Android devices and the web, according to Deadline.
In addition, last September, Pongalo signed an agreement with Telefónica to offer its streaming service to the operator’s mobile customers in Latin America.
