Mediaset España announced that it has reached an agreement with DTH operator SKY Mexico (Televisa/AT&T) to distribute its channel CincoMAS in Mexico and Central America.
With this new agreement, CincoMAS reinforces its presence in the Latin American market, where it is already available in 16 territories, including Argentina, Panama, Chile, Peru, Ecuador and Paraguay. Soon, the channel will expand to Colombia, the United States and Canada.
“The presence of CincoMAS in SKY Mexico is excellent news for the entire Hispanic-American audiovisual sector. For Mediaset España represents a key advance in our strategy to bring us closer to an audience that we know is there and that has been demanding our content for years,” said Yolanda Giordani, responsible for CincoMAS. According to the executive, Mexico is the country of America that brings more web traffic.
Its programming includes hit shows from Telecinco channel such as the series “Sé quién eres” and “Lo que escondían sus ojos”; the daily shows “El programa de Ana Rosa” and “Sálvame”; and factuals like “El xef” and “Gipsy kings”, among others.
