Roku adds Amazon Prime Video in Latin America


Amazon Prime Video is now available on the Roku streaming platform in Latin America. This gives users access to a popular collection of movies, TV episodes and Prime Original series, available at no additional for Prime Video members.
The countries where Prime Video is available are Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama and Peru.
“Prime Video offers consumers access to an exciting entertainment selection that can be streamed in HD and beautiful 4K HDR image quality,” said Tedd Cittadine, vice president of content distribution at Roku. “Prime Video is a very popular entertainment destination on our platform in the US and UK, and we expect it to be a hit in Latin America.”
The platform includes popular titles available in HD and 4K HDR such as the recently released Tom Clancy’s “Jack Ryan”, Emmy and Golden Globe winner “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”, and new seasons of “The Grand Tour”, “The Man in the High Castle” and “Goliath.”
Roku users will be able to access Prime Video by selecting it from the Roku Channel store found on their TV home screen. Amazon Prime Video will be available on the following Roku devices (except in Mexico): Roku Express + (model 3910X) and Roku Streaming Stick + (model 3810MX).
Bernarda Duarte, Director, Content Acquisition at Roku, will participate as speaker in the next edition of NexTV CEO Latin America, the leading conference to be held at the Biltmore Hotel in Miami on November 1 & 2.
