The live concert online platform Pleyou (Publiquest) from Argentina announced that it will be launchde as Subscription Video On Demand (SVOD) service on June 22nd. In addition to the option of access by membership, it will offer Pay-Per-View access for specific events.
The debut date, which originally was set for June 6th, was delayed 15 days, as seen in the homepage domain Pleyou.com. The catalog will feature concerts, stage plays, corporate and sporting events. It has commercial partnerships with Sony Music, Warner, Billboard and media in Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador and Peru.
“These kinds of platforms are a breakthrough for further democratizing the power of digital content since we will be able to reach all audiences. In addition to membership, unbanked people can make micro payments per event through the Codigo Pago system, similar to mobile recharge, where you will be given a PIN to access the show”, said the Director of the Publiquest agency, Mariano Barucca.
The platform has already performed more than 200 transmissions and individual live productions in addition to their local free pilot launch in September 2015 with the simultaneous presentation together with Pay-TV operator Cablevision (Clarin Group) of the concert of the Bersuit rock band, as well as for 40 countries last November with the coverage of the Creamfields electronic music festival, held in Buenos Aires.
