The OTT Blim of Televisa to incorporate 200 hours of BBC’s contents


The OTT and Subscription Video On Demand (SVOD) service Blim of Televisa announced a distribution agreement of more than 200 hours of contents from the international distribution division of the UK state broadcaster, the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).


Launched in February 2016, Blim is available for devices with internet access and has a cost of USD 6.05 per month. Customers of Pay-TV operators Izzi Telecom (Grupo Televisa), Dish (MVS-Echostar) and Sky (Televisa-AT&T) can access it for a promotional monthly price of USD 5.48. The shows cover a wide variety of genres from fiction series to nature documentaries.


“We are very pleased that BBC is part of the catalog of Blim, it has high-quality content that we are sure will please our subscribers. Our users can enjoy titles likeTop Gear and Doctor Who, which bring diversity to our offer”, expressed the OTT’s CEO, Carlos Sandoval, in a statement.
