Olympusat presented the Spanish version of its new Toku anime channel for Latin America


The media holding Olympusat presented the Asian anime and series channel Toku in its dubbed into Spanish version for the Latin American public during the Andina Link 2016 fair, held in the Colombian city of Cartagena de Indias.


Toku is a Pay-TV channel with programming from Japan, China, South Korea and Thailand, specializing in series and movies in anime and live action fiction formats, although it also features Kung Fu and Shaolin classics from the 1970’s and 1990’s.


“The channel is dedicated to sophisticated anime, for an audience of 14 and over. Today it is distributed in the US in English and we are now launching the Spanish version for the region”, said the Vice-President of Channel Relationships of Olympusat, Aurora Bacquerie, to the Produ website.


Toku was re-launched on December 31st, 2015, to replace Funimation Channel, which featured animated content only, at the end of its association with Olympustat. Toku is expected to be available in Spanish for distribution in the coming weeks.
