Brazilian telecommunications company Oi has launched a new product – called Oi Total Play – that allows broadband customers to access the content of the digital platforms of Discovery, ESPN, FOX Networks Group Brazil (FNG), HBO, Sony and Viacom. The bundle also includes fixed telephony.

The product is oriented to a new segment of broadband customers who want to access high-value content anytime, anywhere, but have little time to watch traditional TV, the company said in a statement. Oi Total Play is available throughout the country (except in Sao Paulo, where the company does not have fixed network).

All the Oi Total Play plans offer broadband up to 15 mbps, wi-fi modem, unlimited calls to another fixed line and video content. There are three options. The Basic plan includes access to Noggin (Viacom) and Oi Collection (with content provided by Vubiquity) for R$ 114.90 (USD 36.5) per month. The Intermediary plan includes access to Crackle, Fox Premium, ESPN Whatch, Discovery Kids On, Noggin and Oi Collection, for R$ 134.90 (USD 42.8) while the Top plan adds HBO GO, for R$ 159.90 (USD 50.8).

The new offer expands the portfolio of Oi Total, the company’s convergent product that includes triple and quadruple play bundles. Oi Total has already reached 1.4 million customers and the expectation is to break the 2 million mark by the end of the year, said Bernardo Winik, Oi’s director of retail market. “From now on, we are betting on the content on demand of the largest programmers in the market to boost our broadband service,” the manager added. Online TV content is also available to other Oi Total customers.
