Oi launches 4K service in Brazil

The Brazilian telecommunications company Oi announced the launch of its 4K service. The operator is offering the World Cup matches through the SporTV channel. In this way, Oi joins Net, the country’s main operator, which is also offering this technology in the country.
The contents are available to subscribers of the Oi Total Solução Completa Top and Oi Total Residencial Top packages. From now on, customers of these plans will have Sagem’s new 4K set-top box, which also includes a 500 Gb DVR, access to the Oi Play content portal and features such as ‘Live Pause’.
Oi Total Residential Top includes 195 channels, 15 Mbps broadband and unlimited fixed telephony for R$ 269.90 (USD 72.7) per month. For its part, Oi Total Solução Completa Top brings 195 channels, broadband of 15 mbps, unlimited fixed telephony and calls to any mobile operator with unlimited minutes in the country for R$ 379.90 (USD 102.4).
