NexTV Series Colombia & Andean 2016 will gather on November 30 in Colombia free-to-air TV channels, pay TV operators, OTT services and technology providers to discuss linear and on-demand OTT strategies.
The Colombian platforms Caracol Play and Win Sports are two examples of OTT services that managed to gain a foothold in the Colombian SVOD market, led by Netflix. Caracol has a vast catalog that includes its well-known international telenovelas, while Win Sports is the pay TV network that hold TV rights to broadcast the country’s soccer league.
The executive panel “VOD & linear OTT strategies in Colombia” will debate about topics such as bundled Pay TV packs with VOD OTT, the new linear OTT pay TV phenomenon with channel packages, the transactional model and the device strategies.
The panel will feature top executive including Josefina Pérez Dávila, Strategic Vision Manager at Caracol Televisión; Mauricio Correa, CEO of Win Sports; Emilio Manjarrés, Digital Design & Development Director of Tigo Une (the main pay TV operator of Colombia), Carlos Hulett, CEO & Fundador of the Venezuelan OTT Vivo Play; Luis Redondo, Presidente of Globalplay, a company that recently launch an IPTV service, and Marko Estacio, Staff Solutions Architect LatinAmerica of Arris.
NexTV Colombia & Andean is organized by Dataxis. The event will be held at the JW Marriott hotel in Bogota. It will offer seven executive panels with 50 speakers from top Colombia’s TV and media companies.
