New Warner Media’s SVOD OTT would be launched at USD 16

Warner Media’s new SVOD OTT will include the HBO, Cinemax catalog, and the original Warner Bros TV and movie offerings. According to what the US newspaper The Wall Street Journal reported, the platform’s monthly subscription will cost between USD 16 and USD 17, and will be launched before the end of the year. The company has not announced its name yet.

Although few details are known about the catalog that HBO and Cinemax will offer in the OTT, Warner Media will have a vast film offering, including A star is born, Casablanca and the Harry Potter and DC Comics franchises. The platform will also feature comedies such as Friends and The Big Bang Theory, and TV series like Riverdale and Claws. The first original title announced for the platform is the Love Life series, starring actors Anna Kendrick and Paul Feig.

The Warner Media’s SVOD platform is one of the main launches planned for this year, and will have Netflix, Hulu, and the recently announced Disney+, Apple TV+ and NBC Universal (these one scheduled for the beginning of next year) into its main competitors, and others.
