New agreements for series in Mexico, Chile and Ecuador at Natpe 2019

In its third and last edition, Natpe Miami 2019 stood out for  agreements and series productions in Mexico and sales to Chilean and Ecuadorian networks, as well as bioseries and alliances to produce content for all of Latin America.

MGM Worldwide Distribution and Televisa announced an alliance for the Mexican broadcaster to adapt ‘TKO: Total Knockout’, and create a production hub for Latin American format. The will have an already confirmed 24 episodes season.

Mexican producer BTF Media set an agreement with US producer Vince Gerardis (Game of Thrones) to develop and co-produce fiction projects with Latin themes. BTF also prepares a bioserie about Diego Maradona for Amazon, and another about Isabel Pantoja.

As reported by magazine Variety, ‘Acoso’, the original series of Globo’s SVOD service, was sold to  Chilean network Mega after the service announced that Isla de hierro, another original production, would return with two new seasons.

Endemol Shine Group announced an agreement in which Teleamazonas Ecuador will broadcast  the Spanish series ‘La catedral del mar’. It is also available in Netflix since September.
