Netflix revamps its TV interface

Netflix announced that it has launched a new TV interface with the goal of providing a simpler and more intuitive experience, the company explained in a press release.
Through the company´s official blog, Netflix’s Director of Product Innovation, Stephen Garcia, said, “the new interface was based on rigorous research and testing around how we can make it easier to find titles on TVs, where navigation can feel a bit tougher when you are restricted to just a few buttons on a remote control”.
The interface shows a new sidebar on the left with separate sections (Search, Home, Series, Movies, My List, and New), which facilitates access to content. According to Garcia, “now it is now easier to search and view new content added to the service”. In addition, “It is also far simpler to start browsing with either a series or movie.” The executive said they have also made it easier to access titles the users have saved for later viewing in ‘My List’.
“This new design is one of many improvements we will be rolling out over the coming months to make Netflix even better for our members around the world”, Garcia added. The new interface began rolling out to members all over the world, beginning July 18.
