American OTT Netflix, leader of the online video market and content producer, is now launching itself as a programmer with the addition of two of its original series to Univision’s Free-to-Air and Pay-TV grids in the United States.
Award-winning series Narcos will be added to Hispanic audience network Univision while Pay-TV channel UniMas, of the same multimedia company, will incorporate Mexican Club de cuervos (Raven Club) series. Both shows have confirmed and in-production second seasons.
“Narcos has been a global Netflix success and giving a sample of the series to each of the Spanish-speaking households in the US will give more viewers the opportunity to fall in love with this unique narrative”, stated the COO of the OTT, Ted Sarandos, in a press release.
“No other media company knows the Hispanic community in the US as Univision, and this partnership promotion reflects our ability to interact and reach our consumers, who are increasingly numerous, through various platforms”, said on his behalf President and CEO of the Free-to-Air TV network, Randy Falco.
