Netflix beats Q3 expectations and reaches 137 million users

Netflix added 7 million members in Q318, more than the 5 million expected by the company, and reached 137.1 million users globally (130 million are paid accounts), according to its third quarter report.
In this way, the streaming giant recovers from the second quarter, where it added fewer subscribers than expected. During Q3, Netflix added 1 million members in the United States and reached 58.46 million (56.96 million paid memberships). In the international market, the OTT added 5.87 million and reached 78.64 million (73.46 million paid users).
Netflix reported revenues of USD 4,000 million in the period, of which 3,911 million belong to the streaming business. The international market revenues were USD 1,973 million and in the United States, it reached USD 1,937 million.
“Our broad slate of original programming helped drive a solid quarter of growth with streaming revenue increasing 36% year over year”, said the company in the report.
