Netflix announces third original Colombian series

Netflix began principal photography last week on its third Colombian original series, “Distrito Salvaje”, which is produced by Dynamo (Narcos, El Chapo). It will be available to Netflix members in the Americas in 2018.
The 10-episode series was created by Cristian Conti (7 Años, La Cara Oculta) and will follow the story of Jhon Jeiver (Juan Pablo Raba), a lethal guerrilla fighter who escapes the jungle after the signing of the Colombian Peace Agreements. It will be directed by Javier Fuentes-León and Carlos Moreno.
“Distrito Salvaje” also stars Cristina Umaña (Narcos, Sala de Urgencias, Todos Quieren con Marylin) y Camila Sodi (Luis Miguel La Serie, Señorita Pólvora, Camino A Marte), among other local actors.
Dynamo already has another project with Netflix, which still has no title. Dynamo has become one of Latin America’s most prominent production houses in Latin America, with over 30 films and 20 Premium TV seasons.
