Netflix announces premiere date for new Colombian original series

Netflix announced that new Colombian original “Wild District” will premiere on October 19. The action series will feature 10 episodes and will be available to Netflix members in the US, Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean.
“Wild District” is created by Cristian Conti and directed by Javier Fuentes-León and Carlos Moreno. It was entirely filmed in Colombia and produced by Dynamo, which also has another project with Netflix, still without name.
The series follows Jhon Jeiver (Juan Pablo Raba), a lethal guerrilla fighter who escapes the jungle after the signing of the Colombian Peace Agreements. He arrives in Bogotá escaping from his past, and tries to reinsert himself in society while looking to reconnect with his long lost family. But he soon finds himself wrapped in a web of crime and corruption, struggling to understand the ways of the concrete jungle, protect his family from his past, and faced with the moral dilemma of choosing what side of the law he wants to be on.
“Wild District” also stars Cristina Umaña (Narcos, Sala de Urgencias, Todos Quieren con Marylin) and Camila Sodi (Luis Miguel La Serie, Señorita Pólvora, Camino A Marte), among other local actors.
