NBCUniversal invests in YouTube channel about series

NBCUniversal developed in partnership with ViU Hub, Globosat’s digital business unit, the YouTube channel “Amo Séries”, with the aim of meeting the demand of Brazilians for this type of content.
The channel presents two new videos per week, on Thursdays and Saturdays, hosted by Foquinha and Mikannn, two local influencers, who receive guests each season. In this way, fans can connect with successful productions from previous years and current hit shows, said the group in a press release. The project began in Comic Con 2017 and already has 3 seasons, more than 86,000 subscribers and 1.2 million views.
“The series are part of the DNA of NBCUniversal, with a portfolio of more than hundreds of productions of the genre already developed throughout its history. All this legacy and knowledge motivated us to build a YouTube channel that will become the destination of series,” said Paulo Barata, CEO of NBCUniversal Networks International.
The channel also has a presence on Instagram, where it presents the behind the scenes of the recordings, among other contents. Shortly it will reach other platforms and social networks.
In Brazil, NBCUniversal is responsible for the brands Universal TV, SYFY and Studio Universal and all this entertainment experience is now part of Amo Séries.
