National Geographic Partners, Vice sign content deal

National Geographic Partners announced an agreement with Vice Media to produce the new multiplatform series “NG Explorer Latinoamérica” (Working Title), which will analyze the problems of people living in the largest cities of the region.
In turn, National Geographic will acquire a significant number of content hours produced by Vice for the launch of #NG PWR! (“Nat Geo Power”), a new programming block created for and by millennials that will premiere in February. These announcements were announced during the recent edition of Natpe 2018.
Under the agreement, the contents of the Vice will be available in 50 million households in Latin America (except Brazil). This way, Vice continues with its international expansion strategy. In Brazil, Vice has an agreement with Globosat, the country’s main pay TV programmer, which was announced in mid-2017.
