Nat Geo Kids to release new series “Pablo” in Latin America

Nat Geo Kids announced the release of “Pablo” the first children’s series starred and performed by children and young people with autism spectrum disorder. It will debut in Latin America on Monday, April 23.
The series, which combines live action with animation, aims to raise awareness and promote diversity, integration and conversation about a disorder that generates communication and social interaction difficulties and impacts 1% of the world population, according to CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention).
“Pablo” was written in collaboration with autistic young people. In turn, the Latin American dubbing of Pablo and his friends was done by 10 children and young people with autism spectrum disorder. The plot follows the story of a 5-year-old boy whose imaginative drawings come to life in the “Art World,” a creation of his imagination that allows him to transform everyday challenges into fantastic adventures to face the real world with confidence.
This Monday, April 2 – World Autism Awareness Day – Nat Geo Kids will accompany different organizations in the region. In addition, as part of this awareness initiative, YouTube Kids will have a special playlist with videos and content related to “Pablo” and autism.
