The Mexican operator Megacable began operating its own mobile phone service, called Megamovil 4.5G LTE. According to what the company has officially reported, the offer is nationwide and operates through the Red Compartida, operated by Altan Redes, which works in the 700 MHz frequency.
‘With this new service, we offer great advantages to our customers, who, apart from increasing speed, will have more data available, without forced deadlines. By launch, we will offer our current triple play clients mobile telephony with three monthly gigabytes, for MX$ 100 (USD 5), in addition to greater bandwidth, which increases internet speed at homes by 10 megabytes’, explained Enrique Yamuni Robles, General Director at Megacable.
4.5G LTE is offered through postpaid plans, ranging from MX$100 (USD 5) to MX$ 500 (USD 25), with recharge options that can be made at more than eight thousand points, including Oxxo stores and Megacable’s Comprehensive Service Centers (CIS). Hiring can be done through the assistance modules owned by Megacable in more than 100 Mexican locations, such as Guadalajara, Leon, Colima, Queretaro, Toluca, Tepic, Puebla, Veracruz, Morelia, Tuxla Gutierrez and others.
