BBC Worldwide, international trading arm of UK state broadcaster BBC, announced through a press release that it reached an agreement with the Brazilian OTT Looke for the distribution of more than 200 hours of BBC’s VOD content.
Starting on August 1, Looke will deliver popular drama series such as Doctor Who”, “Luther” and “Orphan Black”, factual series like “Top Gear”, and children’s programs like “Charlie and Lola” and “Sarah and Duck”.
Moreover, the OTT platform will premiere the medical drama “Critical”, which will be available exclusively for two months on the platform. The series will be offered in both SVOD and TVOD modalities.
“This agreement with BBC represents a big step forward for our platform”, said Luiz Guimaraes, Business Unit Director at Looke. “We have made continuous investments in premium content for both children and adults, and we hope to bring even more BBC content to our country”.
