Liberty Global had revenues in Chile and Puerto Rico of USD 304 million in 1Q 2016


US telecommunications company Liberty Global presented its earnings balance for the first quarter of 2016 in which it reported revenues of USD 304 million for its operations in Latin America, representing an increase of 6% compared to the same period of 2015.


The Lilac Group also obtained an EBITDA of USD 122 million, i.e. an annual 11% more, and net additions of video, data and mobile of 21 million. Total revenues of the corporation were of USD 4,284 million (+3% year-over-year) with an EBITDA of USD 1,994 million (+3%).


Revenues of VTR from Chile were of USD 200 million (+8%) with an EBITDA of USD 76 million (+13%) while Cablevision from Puerto Rico had revenues of USD 104 million (+3%) and an operating cash flow of USD 47 million (+7%).


Liberty Global expects to close the acquisition of British telco Cable & Wireless (CWC) in the second quarter of 2016. In addition, it plans an EBITDA growth for the Lilac Group for 2016 of between 5% and 7%, and between 7 and 9% forecasted until 2018.
