Major operators and TV networks of Latin America will discuss the transformation of traditional pay TV business in the next edition of NexTV CEO Latin America 2016, the leading conference on the future of TV, OTT and media, to be held November 3 & 4 in Miami.
The pay TV market is adapting to new consumption patterns and competition with OTTs. Leading TV networks like Fox and HBO are strengthening their TV Everywhere (TVE) strategies by offering series premieres on TVE before pay TV. HBO has already launched HBO GO as a SVOD service in Colombia and Mexico, and will extend it to other countries soon.
In turn, pay TV operators are creating their own streaming services and some of them are even considering to partner with Netflix. Meanwhile, Cablevision Argentina is set to launch in November its new multi-platform service Flow.
The executive panel “Transformation of Pay TV business. Pay TV Everywhere”, will discuss topics such as integration with OTT services, “millennials” and new consumption patterns, and the TV Everywhere as the axis of pay TV transformation, among others.
The panel will gather top executives of the market such as Carlos Martinez, President of Fox Networks Group Latin America; Eduardo Stigol, CEO of Inter/TuVes; Luciano Marino, VP Cable, Millicom International; Carlos Moltini, CEO of Cablevisión Argentina; Raymundo Fernandez, Joint General Director of Megacable; Francisco Smith, EVP, Distribution and Media Development of HBO Latin America; Gustavo Lopez, Vice President, Head of Distribution of AMC Networks International – Latin America; Jerónimo Macanás, VP Latin America and Southern Europe of Accedo; Tom Wirth, SVP Americas of Nagra and Diego Martinez, SVP, Americas of Inview.
