HITN launches new video on demand service

Spanish-language network HITN announced the launch of Avanza, a service that gives HITN subscribers free access to all of the network’s content.
The new service also offers access to Avanza Kids, the first SVOD service in the United States providing premium children’s content, the company explained in a press release.
Avanza is a free service for HITN subscribers, pending authentication with their cable operators. It will be available initially as an app for IOS and Android phones and tablets, as well as Apple TV. Users have the option to add Avanza Kids for a monthly fee of UDS 3.99.
“The new service expands our mission by offering our viewers relevant programming designed to help improve their quality of life, available on any screen, anytime. At the same time, it strengthens the offering of our distributors and the Pay TV system as a whole,” said Mike Nieves, President and CEO of HITN.
HITN-TV is a Spanish-language media company that offers educational and cultural programming for the whole family. It reaches more than 44 million viewers in the US and Puerto Rico via DirecTV, Dish Network, AT&T U-verse TV, Verizon FiOS TV, Comcast, Charter Spectrum, Frontier Mediacom, CenturyLink Prism and Cablevision.
