History to broadcast documentary about Brazil’s participation in Second World War

Aimed to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Brazilian Amy participation in World War II, the pay TV channel History will premiere the special “Navalha: Um Batalhão Brasileiro na Linha Gótica” next Sunday. 

The content, which will be broadcast as a documentary under the direction of Durval Lourenço Pereira, will focus on the trajectory of the Third Battalion of the Sixth Infantry Regiment of the Brazilian Expeditionary Force (FEB) on the battlefields of the Gothic Line, in Italy, during the Second World War.

The program will have exclusive images and more than twenty testimonies of former combatants and historians. Some of the topics to be shown are the war’s impact on humans life, the influence on family and friends, and how war conditions affect the body, mind and spirit of combatants.
