HBO Latin America, HBO Europe announce first co-production

HBO announced that it will premiere in April the new documentary series “Destino Rusia 2018,” the first-ever co-production between HBO Latin America and HBO Europe, that will follow top soccer players as they prepare for the World Cup.
This 10-part documentary series will show stories and experiences of overcoming, friendship, glory and redemption of world soccer, the network explained in a statement.
The series will feature players from 12 countries that will talk about their preparation for the biggest event of the year. “Destino Rusia” follows HBO’s previous series “Destino Sudáfrica” and “Destino Brasil”, which aired –only in Latin America- before the 2010 and 2014 World Cup tournaments.
For Latin America, executive producers will be Luis Peraza, Roberto Rios, Paul Drago and Gabriela Remirez, together with Miguel Salvat and Hanka Kastelicova from HBO Europe. The series is being produced by Eulogio Romero.
