During Mipcom 2017, Grupo Salinas -owner of TV Azteca- announced the launch of Dopamine, the new independent production company that will create premium content for global platforms and audiences.
The new project has an initial budget of USD 200 million and is led by Fidela Navarro, who was named the company’s CEO. “Dopamine was born with the aim of creating new generation original and premium audiovisual content,” the executive said in a statement. “Dopamine will generate, develop and produce stories for all types of distribution platforms. Launched with great investment capital, it is committed to new business models and strategic alliances for co-developments and co-productions”.
According to Navarro, “the global context of the entertainment industry is complex, as there is more demanding audiences for quality and on-demand content, along with an increasing number of producers and distribution platforms”.
