Google upgrades its commitment to VR with the new viewfinder and system Daydream and new YouTube app

US technology company Google announced during its I/O 2016 upfront that it will raise its commitment to high definition virtual reality video technology for mobile devices with the announcement of a new viewfinder and integrated system called Daydream, to be released in the third quarter of 2016.

It will also launch the YouTube VR mobile app, especially designed for immersive video content made in 360 degrees for Daydream, in addition to the catalog which is available on the popular free Video On Demand (VOD) platform.

Daydream will feature an ultra lightweight viewfinder at an affordable trading price, more sophisticated than Cardboard, the other video display mobile adapter by Google, which will also include an intuitive use remote control for a more enjoyable virtual reality experience, the company stated.
