GolTV adds Brazilian soccer league to its programming

The Pay TV channel GolTV announced that it has added to its programming all the matches of Campeonato Brasileiro (Brazilian League), known as ‘Brasileirão’, one of the most important soccer tournaments in the region.


GolTV is present throughout Latin America, thus the tournament is available to subscribers across the region. The broadcasts began on August 6.


“GolTV demand is constantly growing at pan-regional level, due to the quality of its content,” said the Marketing Manager, Pablo Vargas. The channel produces and distributes programming dedicated exclusively to football.


The first division of the Campeonato Brasileiro is composed of 20 teams, and the matches are played in round format (one home and one away). The current champion is Corinthians (São Paulo). The champion of this tournament, along with the following three teams qualify to play Copa Libertadores Latin American tournament.
