Leading Brazilian pay TV programmer Globosat announced that it will add to its portfolio the new channel Gloobinho, which will be aimed at kids from 2 to 5 years old. It will be launched in October, initially through DTH operator SKY Brazil (AT&T).
Recently, Gloob, Globosat’s first children’s channel, celebrated five years in the market with a programming offering targeted to children aged 6 to 9 years. Now, with the launch of Gloobinho, the company seeks to attend the preschool segment, with local and international TV shows.
“The results of these first five years of Gloob were expressive. We built a brand from scratch, presenting new content for children between 6 and 9 years old, today, we experienced the success of that initiative,” said Paulo Daudt Marinho, Gloob’s Director.
“Gloobinho will present Brazilian and international productions, specially developed for the 2-5 age segment with narratives and themes appropriate to the target and in line with the values of the brand,” the executive concluded.
