The Brazilian news channel Globo News launched a new visual identity in the last week. It modified its logo, communication pieces and announcements. “It’s an evolution of the brand,” said Luciano Vasconcelos, the Creation Manager of the channel.
The network logo became a single color, in different versions, black, red or white. It also incorporated videographs with transparencies, while the logo appears in movement in the announcements and institutional pieces. The last major change in the visual identity of the channel had been recorded seven years ago.
“Today the brand is presented in six different ways, with sliding and fluid movements, interacting with information,” said Martha Sampaio, Director of Journalism and Sports at Globo News. “In addition to the live and dynamic attributes, we added pulsatile and spontaneous, which refer to the positioning of the channel, strong in the live coverage,” explained the General Director of the network, Eugenia Moreyra.
