Globo broadcasts the Women’s Football World Cup on FTA for the first time

The Brazilian TV channel Globo is announcing throughout its programming that it will broadcast the Women’s Football World Cup on FTA for the first time. The competition, created in 1991, will take place in France, and, apart from Globo, it will also be aired on SporTV for pay TV customers.

The championship will have 24 National Teams and will be developed in Paris, between June 7th and the following month’s same day. Brazilian National Team will debut in the competition’s Group C next June 9th, facing Jamaica. After that, on June 13th, it will play against Australia, and Brazilian’s group stage will end with the match against Italy, next June 18th.

In Globo’s announcement, men and women are playing football together in the Brazilian National Team, as a way of promoting the American Cup broadcasting that the channel will also develop, and this year is taking place in Brazil. Apart from the Women’s Football World Cup, Brazilian Band TV channel will air local women’s football competition A and B Series.
