Fox Networks Group (FNG) Latin America plans to launch on July 1 its NatGeo Kids channel, which will replace Mundo Fox channel in all the pay TV services across the region.
This is a proposal that is already available in the United States and is intended to arouse the curiosity of the kids, in a multiplatform format with linear and non-linear content, said FNG Affiliate Marketing Manager Juan Massuh, as Prensario reported.
Although the company has not yet issued an official press release on the matter, FNG has anticipated the launch during the recent edition of the Bolivia Media Show, held in that country last week.
The launch marks the return of Fox to the children’s segment. In the past, the company owned Fox Kids, the pay TV channel that sold to the Disney group in 2001. Currently, the channel’s name is Disney XD.
