FOX Sports acquires rights to broadcast Tijuana and Santos matches

FOX Sports Latin America announced that it has acquired exclusive global TV rights to Mexican soccer teams Tijuana (“Xolos”) and Santos Laguna. These five-year deals will become effective in July 2018 with Tijuana, and in July 2019 with Santos Laguna.

The sports channel will broadcast live, through all its digital platforms and on pay TV in Latin America and the United States, all home games of these teams in the Liga MX, as well as other Mexican tournaments and friendly matches.

This new agreement joins the recently announced renewal of the TV rights to León and Pachuca, and enhances the “FM FMX” franchise, which recognizes the participation of Mexican soccer teams in local and international tournaments. Currently, Tijuana and Santos have TV contracts with TV Azteca.
