FOX launches standalone SVOD service on Claro Video in México

FOX Networks Group (FNG) Latin America announced the launch of its SVOD platform FOX Premium on Claro Video (América Móvil) service in Mexico.

Starting this week, broadband users can subscribe to FOX Premium through the Mexican OTT, without the need to subscribe to pay TV services. FOX’s platform provides access to seven live linear channels with exclusive content and blockbuster movies. It offers a catalog organized by categories and features like “In-Season Stacking”, to catch up with episodes of the season, and “Box Set”, which allows access to complete previous seasons.

Users can access FOX Premium for a promotional monthly subscription of MX$ 139 (USD 7.4) during 6 months. After that period, the price will be MX$ 175 (USD 9.4), which can be paid through the Telmex bill or with a credit or debit card. The contents are located in the menu “Play & Go”, and in special positions of the Mexican platform. It is not required to be subscribed to Claro Video to access FOX Premium.

Mexico is the first market where FOX offers its SVOD service for Internet subscribers. In mid-2016, the media company launched the platform in association with the Dish OTT service. The goal is to extend this initiative to the rest of the countries in Latin America.

“Accessing content in the simplest way, at any time and from any device is not a trend, but a reality and the FOX Premium service, that requires only something as simple as an Internet connection, more than meets that premise. A proposal of strong content and the highest level, unequaled, fully adapted to today’s consumption habits and in just one click, “said Federico Alamán, SVP & GM of FOX Networks Group Mexico.
